1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and PreacherDesk.com (“PreacherDesk,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, starting a trial, purchasing a subscription, or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use PreacherDesk.
If you use PreacherDesk for a church, ministry, organization, or other entity, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms on its behalf.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to create an account. You must provide accurate information and keep it current.
You are responsible for protecting your password and for activity under your account. Do not share account access or allow another person to use your credentials. Contact us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
3. Free Trial, Subscriptions, and Billing
Paid plans begin with a seven-day free trial and require a valid payment method. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the plan you selected will automatically begin and the payment method provided through checkout will be charged.
Subscriptions renew automatically each month until canceled. Current plan prices, included features, taxes, discounts, and any promotional terms are displayed before checkout. By submitting payment information, you authorize recurring charges for the selected plan.
Plan upgrades may produce prorated charges. Other plan changes take effect according to the timing shown during billing management. Failed or overdue payments may limit or suspend access to paid features.
4. Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel through the subscription billing portal available from your PreacherDesk account. Cancellation timing and the date access ends will be shown in the billing portal or cancellation confirmation.
Except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise, subscription payments are non-refundable and no credits are provided for partial billing periods. Cancel before the end of a free trial to avoid the first subscription charge.
5. Your Sermons, Notes, and Other Content
You retain your rights in sermons, notes, outlines, ministry information, and other content you submit to PreacherDesk. You grant PreacherDesk a limited permission to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service.
You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed for content you submit. Do not upload confidential information you are not authorized to use or material that infringes another person’s rights.
6. Generated Materials and Exports
Subject to these terms and to the extent permitted by law, PreacherDesk does not claim ownership of sermon materials, outlines, notes, slide plans, or exports generated specifically for your account from your instructions and content.
Generated materials may contain errors, omissions, inaccurate quotations, or content similar to material produced for others. They may not qualify for copyright protection in every jurisdiction. You are responsible for reviewing all Scripture quotations, translations, citations, theological statements, permissions, and final preaching materials before use.
PreacherDesk supports preparation but does not replace Scripture study, pastoral judgment, denominational accountability, or your own voice and convictions.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not use PreacherDesk to:
- break the law or violate another person’s rights;
- submit malicious code or attempt unauthorized access;
- interfere with service operation, security, or other users;
- evade usage limits, billing controls, or access restrictions;
- reverse engineer or copy protected parts of the service except where law permits; or
- resell, sublicense, or provide shared access without written permission.
8. PreacherDesk Intellectual Property
The PreacherDesk service, software, interface, branding, design, documentation, and original website content belong to PreacherDesk or its licensors. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is authorized. No other rights are transferred.
Bible translations, commentaries, quotations, and other third-party resources remain subject to their respective copyrights and licenses. You are responsible for confirming that your intended use is permitted. See Copyright & Content Licensing for additional details.
9. Third-Party Services
PreacherDesk relies on third-party payment, hosting, infrastructure, and content-processing services. Their terms and privacy practices may apply to their part of the service. PreacherDesk is not responsible for third-party services outside its control.
10. Service Changes and Availability
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain, secure, or improve PreacherDesk. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Scheduled maintenance, security incidents, third-party outages, or circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect access.
You are responsible for retaining copies of important sermons, notes, and exported files. PreacherDesk is not intended to be your only archival copy.
11. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PreacherDesk is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation.
PreacherDesk does not provide legal, financial, medical, or other licensed professional advice. Nothing in the service guarantees a particular ministry, preaching, academic, or organizational outcome.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PreacherDesk will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, profits, goodwill, or ministry opportunity arising from use of the service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PreacherDesk’s total liability for all claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid to PreacherDesk during the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
13. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. Canceling a subscription does not automatically delete your account.
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access if you materially violate these terms, fail to pay applicable charges, create a security or legal risk, or misuse the service. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the service changes or as required by law. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through the service or another reasonable method. Continued use after an updated version takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Texas, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
16. General Terms
These terms are the entire agreement concerning the service, except for any additional policy or written agreement that expressly applies. If one provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our written permission.
17. Contact
Questions about these terms may be submitted through the PreacherDesk Contact & Support page.
