1. Scope
This Cookie Policy applies to PreacherDesk.com and the PreacherDesk preaching workspace. It supplements the Privacy Policy.
3. Essential PreacherDesk Session Cookie
PreacherDesk currently uses one essential account-session cookie:
- Name:
preacherdesk.sid - Purpose: maintains sign-in state, connects requests to the correct server session, and supports account and request security.
- Duration: may remain for up to 14 days.
- Security: configured as HttpOnly, Secure in production, and SameSite=Lax.
This cookie is necessary for signed-in features. It is not used for advertising or behavioral profiling.
4. Advertising and Analytics Cookies
PreacherDesk does not currently use advertising, cross-site behavioral tracking, or third-party analytics cookies on its own website. For that reason, PreacherDesk does not currently display a separate consent banner for optional cookies.
If optional analytics, advertising, or similar technology is introduced later, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before that use begins.
5. Browser Cache and Application Storage
The browser or installed progressive web app may cache public icons, styles, scripts, and other static files to improve normal loading and offline behavior. Cached application files are not used to follow users across unrelated websites.
6. Third-Party Services
When you leave PreacherDesk for Stripe-hosted checkout or the Stripe billing portal, Stripe may use cookies or similar technology under its own policies. Those cookies are controlled by Stripe, not PreacherDesk.
Links to other independent websites may also lead to services with their own cookie practices.
7. Managing Cookies
Browser settings can display, block, or delete cookies. Blocking the essential PreacherDesk session cookie may prevent sign-in, account access, form security, and other authenticated features from working correctly.
Signing out ends the active account session. A cookie may remain in the browser until it expires or is removed, but it will no longer provide an authenticated session after logout.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when browser-storage practices or service providers change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
